Paramus NJ, To accommodate a rapidly surging congregation, Grace Community Chapel has officially broken ground on a new, state-of-the-art $15 million church campus located on Forest Avenue in Paramus, New Jersey.

The massive project marks a significant milestone for the diverse, gospel-centered community, which has outgrown its current facility in Teaneck.

Doubling Size to Build Community

Managed by the design and construction firm REDCOM, the brand-new facility is slated to open its doors in approximately 15 months. The two-story building will offer more than double the space of their existing location, paving the way for expanded regional outreach.

Here is a quick breakdown of what the new Paramus campus will offer:

Feature Project Specification
Total Footprint 48,000 square feet
Location Forest Avenue, Paramus (Residential Area)
Project Timeline Estimated 15-month construction window
Key Upgrades Expanded youth programs, dedicated ministry spaces, and multi-cultural outreach events

Meeting the Demands of a Surging Attendance

Founded in 2005 by Pastor Jae Park with a core mission centered on biblical education, Grace Community Chapel has seen explosive engagement. While official membership sits at 100 people, the church sees an average weekly attendance of 550 worshipers—far exceeding what the Teaneck site can comfortably handle.

The diverse congregation, which belongs to the Christian Reformed Church of North America, hosts several prayer services throughout the week in both English and Korean.

“A church is more than a building; it’s a gathering place for hope, compassion and community,” said Sam Rockaway, Senior Vice President of Sales at REDCOM. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to help create a space that will inspire and serve people for generations to come.”

A Reflection of National Trends

The exponential growth of Grace Community Chapel mirrors a larger national trend across the United States, where over 4,000 Korean churches are experiencing rapid expansion, driven largely by a vibrant focus on community youth programs, fellowship, and education.
