In the formal legal world a court case that is dismissed with prejudice means that it is dismissed permanently. A case dismissed with prejudice is over and done with, once and for all, and can’t be brought back to court. A case dismissed without prejudice means the opposite. It’s not dismissed forever.
What’s the Difference Between Dismissed With Prejudice

Wonder what positions were promised the some of these members (CBR) in the Village of Ridgewood Hierarchy ?
Who knows what promises were made….it’s like Deep Throat meeting Woodward in the parking garage….wait, that’s a bad example.
I find it highly unlikely that these folks would have spent the money they spent and then acted as accused in this post. Totally unfair comment.
Do you known that they spent that amount of money 11:14 ? Are you just be told that so they can save face. Thats a lot of money to be spent just to file a suit. Was there anyone in that group that could have done it pro bono? How about going out to the community to fund rase. No, they would rather just trust the 3 amigos to do the right thing. Are you kidding me.
Let’s set up a Deep Throat Ride inside the garage and charge admission to defray operating costs of the garage. You go to a dark corner and a guy in a suit reveals secrets about the federal government.
At 12:19 clearly you are not aware of the backstory. If you were, I am sure you would understand that CBR had to pay a lawyer for almost 3 years to attend every meeting for every hour to represent their and ultimately our interests as residents. I am sure you understand how much lawyers charge per hour and the amount they bill when they are doing research aside from meetings. I am sure you realize they did fundraise but ultimately there is a big gap that they filled personally for years. How much did you contribute?
Ultimately CBR was holding our council responsible and paying a fortune out of pocket for what our elected officials should do as standard operating procedure. We are at the point now with the clock running out on this council. Hopefully residents are now paying attention and will be putting pressure on so the right studies are done and responsible decisions are made.
I assure you there is nothing beyond that. No promises of anything else.
Hey 12:19, what have you done exactly? Why not say thank you for all they have done and now do your part? They owe YOU nothing anyway.
For the record no, they did not sell out and yes I personally know they spent that much money.
Thank you 3:55 and 4:27 for your comments. They are completely accurate. Whoever is making those rude comments knows nothing about how hard it is to raise money for a cause, even one that has many followers. Everyone expects everyone else to contribute. It’s disgraceful that people have had to spend tremendous amounts of time and money to keep this up for 3 years. Maybe 12:19 could find a pro-bono lawyer to take over, since they think it’s so easy.
As an aside, it should be the job of the planning board and the council to protect our town from becoming overbuilt. Residents should not have to spend their money to protect their way of life. It’s very sad that so many grassroots groups have had to form in Ridgewood. I hope the next council election will bring members who will fight for what the people want, and not the developers needs.
I applaud the CBR for the efforts to get the Village officials to do the right thing. Suggestions they acted otherwise are too ignorant to justify comment. And of course if the matter is not adequately addressed, any citizen or citizen group can file another suit.
The more i read this original post and the couple of inane comments in support of it, I wonder if its not a planted post from one of the developer’s sick sycophants. Its the kind of remark that discourages those who have worked hard for the Village.
