Reader asks Where are all of the Hispanic leaders on the Zimmerman case ?
Did Senator Bob Menendez say this ? Or was it Senator Mel Martinez (FL) ?
There are, frankly, very few Hispanic men who haven’t had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars. That happens to me, at least before I was a senator. There are very few Hispanics who haven’t had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off. That happens often. And I don’t want to exaggerate this, but those sets of experiences inform how the Hispanic community interprets what happened one night in Florida. Once again, another hispanic was tragically the victim of a beat down. Difference is, this time the victim had a gun and was able to defend himself.
Where are all the hispanic leaders ?
This post is very misleading. You took the President’s speech and did not correctly cite the source. And then you imply that a Hispanic Representative may have said it. Shame on you.
The post was specifically made in that manner to make a point.
We assume everyone reading the Ridgewood Blog is educated and well informed and would recognize this recent quote (an assumption that you have proven positive).
The point remains…
WHERE ARE THE HISPANIC LEADERS?
Do they agree with the narrative that Hispanics are racist and kill “unarmed black children”?
Their silence conveys agreement.
Do they agree that Hispanics should take a beat down and not defend themselves?
Their silence encourages additional attacks on Hispanics.
WHERE ARE THE HISPANIC LEADERS?
Zimmerman is Hispanic it is a legit question
The point remains that you were very misleading. There are people who may not have recognized the fact that you stole and then twisted someone’s words. That was probably your goal.
You also do not seem to know who the Hispanic leaders are and you pretend to be concerned that they are taking a “beat down”. You are just trying to stir things up and you do not show any real understanding of the issues.
Par for the course here, it is a way to get more views.!
If no one answers your question then it must be a conspiracy. Have you tried contacting the real press?

The fact remains that you are deliberately ignoring the point (or maybe you honestly do not understand and I am giving you too much intellectual credit).
The reason why you are being obtuse is secondary.
Now that anyone who did not initially recognize the quote has been enlightened by you, the initial question remains…
Where are all of the Hispanic leaders?
Do they have no desire to defend a fellow Hispanic who was beaten and defended himself? Do they have no desire to defend a fellow Hispanic who has been acquitted of all crimes in a court of law and who now needs to hide from fear of being beaten again and hunted down?
Do they want to send the message that it is OK to beat on an Hispanic?
Do they want to support the narrative that Hispanics are racists who can get away with murder?
Where are all of the Hispanic leaders?
