Reader predicts the Village council has already decided to move forward on a garage

My prediction is that the council has already decided to move forward on a garage that will fit on the Hudson space. The new garage proposed offers 240 spaces in total. I believe we have something like 80-90 spaces there now so we are picking up 150-160 additional spaces. Will that solve the parking problem?? of course not. I think it will end up being used as a commuter parking garage which will free up spaces in other lots. Adding another level adds about 60 extra spaces.

  1. oh yeah. they are going to what ever it takes. every one else is going to have to piss up a rope. they do not care. end of the story, u will cry. so pay up. or move out.

  2. Ok old manager now go take some English lessons and de-program your Ebonics. As for the rest of you, yes, we’re going to build a garage. Why? Because we need it your leftover idiots. Stand in the way of progression and you get run over…just like protestors.

  3. I would like to remind everyone that this town voted to build a garage in November of 2015. It was a huge mistake for the previous council to not disclose the particulars about the plan. Moving forward, I can guarantee you that those of us who voted for the garage will still support the idea. This town needs to move forward, not be stuck in the mud. And I might add that I find it very interesting that the author of this blog has no record of owning property or paying taxes in our town. Hmmmmmm………… Do you even have the right to weigh in on the decisions that are made here?

  4. 9:08 – in November of 2015 people voted for more parking. They did not necessarily vote for a garage. Parking is being added in various places around town, and meanwhile there are always empty slots.

  5. The village voted “Yes” for a garage. Just not THAT garage.

    reasonable size and expense.

  6. 9:37 – No – we voted for a garage.
