Village Clerk, when acting VM, violated ordinance and was called out on it by resident. Same resident had applied for a Village position. Resident denied position in violation of residency requirement ordinance by same Village Clerk while Acting Manager. New Vm (R.S.) learns of violation in May, 2014 and decides to amend ordinance to support her Village Clerk. Councilwoman Knudsen got to close to discovering the truth and the V.M. and 3 amigos decided to sic their attack dog(labor attorney) on her. All the rhetoric about wanting to hire the best available employee is B.S.

That’s either a crass indictment, or a rare glimpse of truth and municipal reality that the public was not supposed to be afforded. One can’t necessarily decide between the two possibilities without more information or an alternative source, but you may be assured that at least one inquiring mind wants to know which is real, and which IS an illusion!

  1. TIME FOR HIM TO GO. HE SHOULD BE THE FIRST PERSON TO BE OUT SOURCED .

  2. March,2014, resident applies for laborer position with Village. Resident denied interview for position. Resident advised by Village Clerk(H.M.) and Director of Operations (F.M.) that residency requirement ordinance does not apply to non-competitive positions. Both refuse to provide supporting documentation for their assertions. Resident contacts Assemblyman David Russo’s office. Assemlyman Russo’s offfice contacts Civil Service on constituent’s behalf. Low and behold, Civil Service advises Assembly Russo”s office that the residency requirement ordinance on file for Village of Ridgewood with Civil Service, applies to both competitive and non competitive titles. Resident has meeting with V.M on May 21,2014 advises her that her Village Clerk and Director of Ops provided false information to resident and that the recent hire was in violation of Village Code and Human Resource manual. V.M. never responds back to resident or take corrective action. V.M. after 7 weeks on the job decides to change residency requirement ordinance in the “best interest of the Village” P.S. laborer position went to friend’s son of Frank Moritz, Director of Operations for V.O.R. Councilwoman got to close to discovering these facts and the V.M. unleashed labor attorney on her at public meeting.
