Reader says Councilwoman Hauck claimed on Facebook that all of the Village Council unanimously wanted her to serve on the mediation team

Councilwoman Hauck claimed on Facebook that all of the Village Council unanimously wanted her to serve on the mediation team. She wrote that “all five” of them wanted her to serve. This proved to be inaccurate. She asked to be on the mediation team so she could “learn about the litigation.” Susan Knudsen did not want her to be, Mike Sedon was interested but had childcare issues, Albert was recused from the discussion, and Aronsohn wanted Gwenn to serve. According to public comments by Councilman Sedon, the four of them “conceded” to allow Mrs. Hauck to serve. Valley got exactly what they wanted. A friend and generous donor served on the mediation team that was in place to help the residents of Ridgewood. And who won? Surprise, surprise, The Valley rode herd on us.

And oh, by the way, Councilwoman Hauck violated the confidentiality of the Closed Session meeting on December 2nd by announcing on social media how the discussion went. Not only did she violate the closed session meeting confidentiality, but what she said was also grossly inaccurate.

  1. 4/5 probably seems unanimous after so many 3/5 votes.

  2. Delusional

  3. And oh by the way, Gwenn yelled at everyone for being careful what they post on social media. And then what does she do? She posts on social media the INACCURATE results of a CONFIDENTIAL meeting. She is a piece of work. So glad she is almost gone….

  4. GWen. Hauck serving on that mediation team was a disgrace and a complete disservice to the taxpayers. And now we learn that she fought to get on the team. And we learn that she knew nothing about the litigation so she wanted to learn about it while the mediation was in progress. How much worse can it get? Valley had her in their pocket the whole time and her getting on that mediation team was part of the master plan to screw us.

  5. Malfeasance ?.?.?

  6. The woman is history in a little while, hopefully her and the other two stooges will do no more damage.

  7. Hold onto your hats as photo after photo in the papers starting very soon show her at Valley fundraising and social events looking much happier than she ever did as a council member. What a disaster.

  8. Of course she is going to make herself appear happier. It’s all about face-saving. Once no one can see, I’m sure Gwenn has smashed a few plates in her house these past few days.

  9. People are people ..let’s let them move on..there is more ahead for Ridgewood..let’s concentrate on a better town and avoiding he same mistakes and unproductive approaches..ie time limits on reasonable free speech at town VOR VC and other public meetings . Ranters yes will also have to be heard..we will get through it all. Results are what counts..open government..less deals with store owners and other real estate back room deals..we can hope,…

  10. what a waste.

  11. Yep, I bet she has smashed a few plates and dropped a few f-bombs on anyone who got in her way since election night. Mr. Hauck must have quite a life.

  12. she looks like a deer in head lights.
