Dani couldn’t even get a “second” for nomination. Bill de Blasio has a better chance of being president than Dani getting elected. Wake up people.
the BOE looks for yes men
The school board was biased. There was over whelming support for Saurabh, to not have a bd. member to 2nd his nomination was a signal to the entire community. The board, and all of its dealings, will receive much closer attention and inspection from the entire Ridgewood community moving forward, which is a good thing.
Well Kaufman folded to the expected BOE response. Oh well.
I’ve attended a lot of these meetings. Mr Dani was certainly qualified for the position and had tremendous support. He had more support than all the other candidates combined. I know that many of who will disagree but my conclusion is this, Mr Dani aligned himself with Steve Kim. I’ve been a Ridgewood resident for over 50 years. There hasn’t been anyone who is disliked more than Steve Kim. I agree that Mr Kim is passionate about our community, and wants more transparency but it’s just the way he chooses to convey his message. It’s a constant barrage of criticism to this community. I attended a party this past summer in Ridgewood, most of which were residents of Ridgewood, and when Steve Kim’s name came up, people had a lot to say about him. Most of them didn’t like him. Granted, he may be a nice person but a lot of people don’t see that. I have talked with him on many occasions about things other than our community, and he is a very nice person. What I think upset the community the most was the way he went after high school football field. I think that was the turning point. People were feed up and annoyed with all the posts and articles. It’s one thing to opine on the topic once but when it becomes every hour it gets to be too much.
This was Mr Dani’s bid to lose and he did. I was there at the meeting last night. He was nominated and no one second the nomination. It was done too quickly in my opinion. It seemed like the board wanted to quickly move past Mr Dani. I believe he would have done a great job if given the chance.

Please congratulate me for saying that Kaufman was a stupid pisser after his debate with(what’s his name) before he was elected. I said not to vote for him; he couldn’t take the time to be prepared for the debate; I knew he was a schlemiel.
But I agree he is a good schmoozer.
So now you have your hero; and you guys said, after kaufman was elected, that you wanted more like him on the BOE. Good for you.

Hey anonymous, Kaufman’s election was “anyone but Loncto”. Even if he is not doing anything there, he is still better than Loncto, who was actually causing damage with his spending spree.
