Discussion? No need for discussion! Gwenn, Paul, and Albert are our 3-person council. Ms. Gwenn might want to recall that she won by 6 votes, while Mike and Susan were voted in on a huge margin. It won’t be too much longer before sanity will rule again. No way are the thre of them getting re-elected
Let me make one thing perfectly clear: Paul Aronsohn and Albert Pucciarelli will not, I repeat WILL NOT, be swayed by public opinion, common sense, or realistic facts. They are going to build this god-forsaken garage and look out anybody who gets in their way. They feel this will make their mark in town. Yep, it will be a mark alright, a gigantic debt and a garage with so few cars in it that it will look like an abandoned property. But they won’t care. In a couple of years Aronsohn will be in DC (he hopes) working as a gopher for Hillary, and Pucciarelli will be living in MidlandPark, and we will be left with this mess, their legacy.
maybe, maybe Gwenn will decide to rein this project in and make it mor sensible and less colossal. Say what you will about Gwenn, but she of the three of them truly TRULY cares about Ridgewood. lately there have been glimmers of hope that she might be standing on her own away from the two of them on a couple of issues. Maybe she will back off on this folly. We can hope.
Disagree. She was pulled in as a pawn and a pawn she shall stay. She has lost any vestige of self-respect by sucking up to those monsters, even attacking Mike and Susan along the way. The pre-council Gwenn, who has shown herself to be far less sweet than her blond looks, bland demeanor, and expensive clothes are meant to imply, might have thought such things, but probably wouldn’t have said them aloud in public. Weak-minded people who live for the approval of others are easily swayed to do bad things when in the wrong company, flattered by low-minded manipulators who need a stooge for their “majority vote.”
11:35, sadly you’re probably right. What a mess we are in.
When did RW convert from a Faulkner Act Council–Manager government to an Oligarchy?
When are their terms up?
It seems they have been around too long already.
Hopefully we have some good candidates to run against them.
This non binding referendum is absolutely ridiculous. Smoke and mirrors., they have already committed to the garage, full steam ahead. The three of them make me SICK.
yes, sadly she seems to have lost all sense of independence and looking through an issue in its entirety. Great person, not such a good council person from what I can see.
The new Fish restaurant needs parking as does the train station. I wonder if our mayor made a promise to his political friend who owns the property where fish is or to his political friends at NJ transit. The parking garage is a done deal. They are just going through the motions
So why aren’t the Fish owners, other business owners in the CBD, and NJ Transit all helping Village of Ridgewood taxpayers with the cost of the garage if this is a done deal? This should be borne by ALL who benefit, not just taxpayers represented by the Village Engineer who has blown the budget on just about everything incommoding the Village Hall repairs after Floyd. Taxpayers get screwed again. Smells like rotten Fish.
