Reader says , “Most parents in Ridgewood have high expectations for their kids”

“Most parents in Ridgewood have high expectations for their kids, it’s why they’re willing to pay the high property taxes with the expectation of one of the best schools in the tristate area. Our high school just ranked #26 in the Niche survey and we rank #23 in NJ for SAT scores according to NJ.com last fall. This is acceptable to you? Will it improve with the current administrators we have? If the answer is “no”, then we need to attract better administrators.”

  1. That’s roughly top 4-5% in the state maybe higher if you exclude technical schools. So what are we looking for 1%. Who will run and accept that challenge, no one. Not even the ones complaining

  2. I agree 100% that we need better administrators but it seems impossible to replace these people unless s they quit. I really don’t understand how these people have so much power to cling to their posts and not be held accountable for the shortcomings of their work.

  3. If the answer to the question: “Will things improve under the current administration?” is “no”, then why are Fishbein and Gorman still here?
