” Ramon Hache (who is clearly who you are talking about) had nothing to do with this overdevelopment. This was in the works years ago and residents fought tooth and nail to stop it. They argued for reasonable plans and scope and # of projects. The protests went on for years. And there was no way for them to “slow it down” – it was in the books already! It’s very frustrating when people start blaming the wrong voting “force of nature” for those of us who tried to advocate for right-sized growth. We had no chance. It was a done deal before this Council came in.
You should find and question the people who were dead set that this was “right for Ridgewood” and irrevocably voted it into reality. “
This is CORRECT. Mayor Hache was not in office when Albert, Gwenn, and Paul voted for all of this. Mike and Susan were – and they voted AGAINST but of course they were outnumbered by the terrible trio. Blaming Ramon for this is stupid and shows how uneducated you are about local matters. Thank you for setting this straight.
This is correct…
However it does not change the fact that Hache is a destructive force on Ridgewood.
(That’s about as polite as I can put it)
Since joining the council, our mayor became a realtor, cozied up to Gottheimer & Bergen Democrats and has been looking for more photo ops whenever possible. It’s a shame to say that he’s on Paul’s trajectory. When pressed for an answer, he alludes to the three amigo days and says nothing can be done. We got what we deserve by trusting him.
Re-elect Hache and Knudsen campaign starting early
I agree do not re-elect Hache. He went back on too many promises. I am actually more disappointed in him than Jeff V and that says a lot
He tries to be smooth but he really doesn’t care at all. He is a big part of Ridgewoods future destruction and his political career. Sound familiar…
But he has a lot to do with disappointing tax payers. I know a whole neighbor that can’t wait until his reign is over!!!!
Knudsen is to blame 100%.
nice try its the 3 amigos 100%
It is the 3 amigos all the way BUT Ramon is no prize. Going back on his word speaks volumes for his character. Very disappointed
if you voted for the 3 amigos you helped ruin the Village of Ridgewood end of story
So James, if I didn’t vote for the 3 amigos but voted for current VC and carried signs on my lawn for them and also campaigned for them but now I feel disappointed by their job what am I? A traitor? Am I the problem here? Educate me please.
no but if you voted for the 3 amigos its all your fault no one else to blame except your self
No one is saying anything about the 9 million dollar garage THIS council voted in.
your self?? your self??
like being and alcoholic admitting the problem is the first step to a cure , the 3 amigos was and is the problem .Ridgewood taxpayers will spend the next 10 years or more fixing the mess they created
Yep, Hache is a bottle of Airbag Lite in my opinion. At least Airbag looked like a rat.
Have all the above complainers completely forgotten that both the purchase of the Elks club, the renovation of the library and the million or so dollars being wasted on reconstruction of the useless Schedler house were all handled by our current Council? They might not (?) have been able to limit some of the previous Council’s construction goals but they could certainly have been able to control some of this new spending. Hache did do a complete turnover after he was elected so he can certainly be justly blamed for all the millions this new stuff is going to cost because he DID approve all of them!
And let’s not forget healthbarn. This council could have revisited that lease that was made in the owners favor. They could run the programs thru parks and rec and actually make some income from that disgrace that happened to Habernickel
They could raise the rent and monitor activities. Instead the council matches grants given to the business. Money out of our pockets
No discipline for the business yet tax payers are charged fine for sprinklers and leaves
All it took was for Ramon to get a zucchini form the dead garden and he changed his tune…oh wait his kids go there!
The current council has nothing to be proud of, they either ignore or bully the topic and good people in the community. The have allowed and instigate the us versus them mentality, dividing the town further. Maybe some recycled tin cans and an orange building will save us all
