Gave the guy a break. For that matter I gave him money and gave him a coffee and gave him my vote. Told all my friends to vote for him. And then he comes out of the gate shooting from the hip, interrupting Susan, trying to commandeer the meetings. He was terrible from the git-go. Many people tried to make him calm down. Many people. Via emails and phone calls and over coffee. He promised to cool his rhetoric but he did not. He has gotten worse and worse. It is blindingly clear that he hats Susan’s guts. That is his prerogative, but the question is WHY? He has repeatedly gone after her in a totally unprofessional manner using words best saved for the locker room, not the council chambers. He has not said anything by mistake or accident. He has attacked her repeatedly and often and now he has accused her of breaking the law. I am so sorry I supported this guy. He is absolutely insane.
Voight’s comments to Susan are not a matter for the public to insert themselves into. Our Mayor is a big girl and she is fully capable of handling this matter herself. My suggestion would be for them to get together 1:! and hash things out in a polite and professional manner. Then everyone should get back to the business of running the to Village and moving forward. There is a lot to do and petty politics should not interfere with the larger mission.
Your still on this and meanwhile the BOED is taxing us to death. The” larger mission.” should be to hold the BOED accountable.
Voigt is the one who went ten miles out of his way to make his dispute with the Mayor public. It is not for everyone else in Ridgewood to ignore their own eyes and ears and pretend that this is a private dispute!
Totally agreee with 10:38. The Voigt matter is nothing in comparison to the screwing we are all getting from the BOED. This is what we should all be out there ranting and raving about. Let’s get going on the protests. Our taxes are absurd and they are going even higher. !!
The Voigt matter is not to be left alone or forgotten. His integrity and character are shot.His attacks and lies are escalating to new heights. This level of deceit is intentional malice. BOE also needs to be addressed. The public needs to get out from behind their computers and stand up against all of it. We are losing battles because the mass majority sits around doing nothing while the BOE/Voigt remain active and launch campaigns to get what they want.
Voigt has not cost me 110 dollars this year for a program that has no been implement for 2016. Yes, he should he be more civil but this a small thing compared to the incompetence and the out of control spending at the BOED.

9:51. You could not be further from the truth. Voigt made his comments publicly at public meetings. He inserted the public into the situation and we have every right to our opinions as well as answers. This is not petty politics; this is an elected official publicly accusing another elected official of breaking the law (and then failing to back this with any facts). This is an elected official lobbing repeated nasty barbs for no apparent reason at our mayor during public meetings. Yes, our mayor is a “big girl,” as you so condescendingly characterize her. And she has proven that to us repeatedly by being grace under pressure, by being honest and open, and by never taking the bait of those who have tried to discredit her. Get together one on one? Terrible idea. I would never get together with that man one on one. He twists the truth and openly lies. No, this needs to be dealt with by Mr. Vogt by either public apologizing, or else by substantiating his claims that the motor broke the law. And as far as getting back to running the village, the business of government has continued smoothly and efficiently all along since July 1, in spite of Mr. Voigt’s tiresome tirades.

Jeff needs to do a better job of setting a trap for her…he will only lose when he goes off on her.
