Ridgewood NJ, is the new “Third Culture People (3CP)”, “White Fragility” , DEI initiative just more anti-white agenda wrapped up in a bow of “diversity”? Several readers have began to seriously question Ridgewood Schools ability to educate promoting this overtly racist agenda ,especially after this summers attacks on the Ridgewood Police Department and seeming endless protests with little or no positive action or honest intellectual discussion and worse the blatant bigoted attack on the two non white Ridgewood School board members .
“Meanwhile Ridgewood schools continue to implement and teach an anti-white agenda under the guise of “diversity”.
From the superintendent:
“The district has been moving forward with its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative, an integral component of the culture branch of the strategic plan. A detailed action plan was developed for how to achieve specific goals and objectives. Early in this process, additional holidays (Eid, Lunar New Year, and Diwali) were added to the calendar. The administrative team has read and discussed White Fragility as part of the summer administrative retreat and are currently reading Caste.
Third Culture People (3CP) has provided professional development to approximately 70 staff members, focusing on understanding cultural values and CQ competencies, as well as how to apply this knowledge. As part of this collaboration with 3CP, a staff DEI subcommittee will be formed to help determine priorities and actionable steps.
Several teachers in year 3 of the New Teacher Induction Program have chosen leadership projects that align with the district’s DEI initiative, including a classroom library audit, analysis of the K-5 music curriculum to assess DEI integration, and enhancing practices with English Language Learners.
Individual departments have also established DEI goals. English teacher Patricia Hans has participated in summer training in this area for the past two years, and she has provided professional development for our social students and English teachers at the November PD Day.
The Travell DEI Committee has been active, and they have shared an extensive list of resources for possible consideration during the curriculum review process. A new high school elective, the Philosophy of Race, is being offered next year.”
Your children are being indoctrinated to hate themselves if they are white and told that their values , history and culture are wrong. This is NOT about inclusion, it IS about diminishing and controlling the majority population. Your children are being indoctrinated against you and you blindly (and in many cases happily) pay for your own demise ”
You know it’s funny you say that, because ever since all these crazy shits been going on in the past year. I never seen so many mixed backgrounds, meaning people of color on TV shows, news, commercials, Gay commercials, mixed sex commercials, and most of these new shows are horrible but it’s all about politics. Hey listen I’m all for it if you have talent God bless you. But when you don’t have talent and they are making you look good, putting you on a pedestal, putting you upfront in the spotlight just because it’s political that’s bullshit.
This too shall pass.
Just treat everybody equal that’s all. What’s really racial is that if you’re not white you’re allowed to get a lower grade on taking a government test for a job. That’s not right that’s not fair. Very racial.

Check w ur kids in RHS..ask them. Teachers are openly trying to make kids feel bad/guilty for growing up in Ridgewood. The administration is either on board w this bullying or just blind to it.
Private (religious, charter, etc) are lookin’ real good now.
The ones that put the thumbs down they have their head up their ass. They think it’s OK because if they are a minority a different race or color that they are allowed to get a lower grade on the test. I say screw you. For now on everybody gets the same test score we don’t give two shits on what color, what race, where you came from, we don’t care if you came from Mars you take the test and the bottom line is this is the number that you need to pass and the story you don’t like it to bad. I don’t understand why someone always has to be a minority, an out group, or bad. When any group that is being persecuted, it is racism. I don’t understand how people like me, who’s family didn’t even come to this country til the early 1900s can be labeled racist simply because of the color of our skin is white. We weren’t in this country before the civil war or when there was slavery. In fact, we were treated pretty poorly when we got here but that was 100 years ago.i continue to refuse hate. In ALL of its forms!

Does any white person feel that they have been treated unfairly by racist policies including community zoning practices, targeted by police, looked over because of their whiteness or watched extra closely when shopping? I have never felt any of this being a Caucasian but being a woman I have felt discrimination..

Have any of you in the above comments talked to your mothers about discrimination? All women experience less pay for the same job. In the 1960’s there were so many jobs denied women. Some of us were hired at large corporations because of a quota system that was instituted in NYC that a certain number of people of color and women had to be hired. Before Title 9 men received college scholarships for athletics but not women. Have you watched “ Hidden Figures?” You should.
That was 60 years ago
We haven’t yet passed the ERA amendments.
The real discrimination today is against White Catholic Men.
The only group who can be attacked mercilessly with no consequences.
