Reader says Ridgewood Water Is a service provider who can no longer provide a service

Amazing how simple it is for some people to just accept regulation and the loss of service

The water issue only exists due to weak management and poor leadership

We can debate non stop about rain runoff etc but simply put.RW water Is a service provider who can no longer provide a service. We lose countless gallons due to leaks, we have wells shut down with no published plan to correct, and the argument about storage tanks is non existent.

That anyone is willing to accept paying more for less is simply amazing. Nature has provided plenty of water, Ridgewood is unique in that we don’t know how to manage the resource.

  1. In the pre-Internet days, this kind of problem wouldn’t be known to people considering buying a house in Ridgewood. If you don’t think this will have an effect on your property values, and you think that Ridgewood is some kind of magical place with solid property values and great schools, you are deluded.

  2. I like that they are doing the blame game. The new managers are so full of shit. yeah it’s the old water manager’s fault. that is so old.
you top mangers need to stop your old games. the water taste like pool water. when i was a kid it was great. now what are you going to blame it on the salt trucks.

    .
    Yup.
Ridgewood… a tradition of ———- (fill in the blank)
    .
At least we have something to cling to.
    That and the pretty trees.

  4. Absolutely right! We need a Village Manager with experience managing a town and budget of this size. Did they ever even bother interviewing candidates before giving the job to Heather? I’m sorry but the town needs someone new and objective with strong management skills. Is it legal for Ridgewood to ration our water but not the other towns they are servicing? I smell a class action suit….
