Thank God for CCR since the elected officials are doing nothing to protect the residents.
Let’s hope that residents understand how critical a time this is. If the Planning Board allows Valley to have its way, a rubber stamp awaits with Councilwoman (and former Valley VP) Hauck for the next step. She has no intention of recusing herself and it looks as though Councilman (and former Valley attorney) Pucciarelli may “unrecuse” himself to see that the dump trucks roll as quickly as possible.
Let’s hope that the CRR caught a break when the late August meeting was postponed until September 30 when more people are in town. Plan to show up at that meeting and be heard.
Anyone in town who has not made a donation to the legal fund of Concerned Residents of Ridgewood, the ONLY group in town advocating for ALL residents’ rights, or in fact anyone who has done so but not recently, please send one immediately, whether $50, $500, or $5,000.
This means you and your neighbors! Please do not assume that other people will handle it all. And guess what? Many or most residents who can write a check for thousands of dollars without thinking twice are more interested in their social life through Valley than in recognizing the significance of this decision to the future of the Village. (To rich people who do “get it,” apologies.)
The families living near the hospital must not be allowed to shoulder the financial burden alone. Spending 10 million hours on research etc. over 7 years is more than enough of a “donation.”
While you’re on the stopvalley.com site, after sending some money, keep reading. You’ll learn a lot. It is not too late to make a difference yet, but it will be soon!
CCR is doing the work of the planning board. They are looking out for the interests of the residents.
The planning board seems to think that they have a responsibility to valley and the developers. They are supposed to represent the resident tax payers
Time to clean house.
Amen!
Having attended most of the meetings, I think the majority of the members are not buying the Valley story. I really can’t say I thought that in the beginning of these meetings, but if they have been listening to what everyone else has over the last few months, and are objective and logical, they can only conclude that this does not benefit the majority of residents. To change a town’s master plan for this is ludicrous.
I’m not sure I agree that the Planning Board is leaning against Valley. Gail Price has a major bias against the CRR since they sued the Planning Board (somewhat successfully) on technicalities that she should have caught but did not. Don’t forget Cyril Grant’s assertion in the very first meeting that “Valley is going to expand!!” before he heard a word of testimony. Something is rotten here – this thing is far from over.
I guess we’ll see who is “objective and logical.”
#3, is dead on balls accurate:
“To change a town’s master plan for this is ludicrous”
When in doubt, use logic. The Master Plan is the Planning boards reason out and to say no. The Master Plan is the logic for the Council and all involved just to say no.
The Master Plan is the reason and logical way out for all involved.
Sorry Valley, the Master Plan should not be changed and you have wasted a lot of peoples time and money for this ridiculous expansion in Ridgewood. I do not know why the better solution of expanding is no being talked more about in Paramus. Valley is not a hard luck case. You do not have to expand here to survive.
I find it amazing that we are even still entertaining this year after year.
The existing Master Plan should be enough to stop this just as it’s done in years past. Add next to a school and in a residential neighborhood…why is this still going on?
BIG NO TO VALLEYWOOD
Stop the Nonsense
