West Saddle River road was supposedly on the paving list for last year but they did the road only as far as the Ridgewood-Hohokus border. This is the road that needs to be widened if we expect 2 way traffic when Schedler is finished. To my certain knowledge the last time it was paved was when our grandson was 3, and now he is 29! How do I know? Because he and I spent almost every good weather day watching them.
Yes westsideriver road needs to be paid immediately in the spring. We don’t understand why did the county stop paving the road from 17 to Hohokus. And Bergen County always used to repair, but we found out in the past they have not been maintaining it. What is going on. Many of our county roads in the Village are in disrepair, They just need to be reconstructed repaved and they’re not doing it in the village. Did we lose our repor with the county
The real problem is that when drivers come off rt 17 they don’t slowdown. What is going to happen when the park comes. More kids more cars ‘ more some kind of significant Signs and lighting will need to be installed.
But Schedler will have a nice berm !
