Reader says the Ridgewood Council still considering plans for Schedler property

Its has been 2 1/2 years now that the “Dream Team Council ” of  ARONSOHN ,PUCCIARELL and HAUCK have been in charge of Ridgewood via their “Block Voting” and still no decision on the Shedler Property. What are they waiting for. Are they caught up with taking care of their friends at  The Chamber of Commerce and the Developers. Is the Mayor to busy with his Wellness Campaign? Is the Deputy Mayor to busy starting up his grass roots committee to help in the development of the CBD? Is Councilwoman Hauck to busy throwing luncheons for the Senior Citizens?  There the house sits rotting away while the Three Amigos promote their own personal agenda. The residents or “Folks ” should be applaud by the actions or rather non action of these three. After all didn’t our Mayor when running for reelection promise action on the Schedler  house and property. Didn’t he encourage “Folks” in the area of the property to also support his running mates. So now what?

  1. Whatever the residents feeling on what to do with the property and house don’t you think that a decision should have been made one way or another so the Council can move on to handle other business.

  2. Big Al the Developers friend and his shrew on the Planning Board are to busy forming this new group and give it standing so they can circumvent the Panning Board and give the Developers a leg up on their CBD projects.

  3. What to do with a 200 year historical Dutch house. Why tear it down and put in toilets for the folks who will be watching the games at the new baseball diamond. What else?

Listen, those who didn’t vote for council members should not be whining about the Schedler property nor should those who voted for our Mayor.

  4. Start thinking now about good candidates who will throw them all off the dais in 2016, should any of them wish to return. For many reasons, but mostly the backdoor sneakiness, manipulation of this town and its laws, traditions, and preferences, and utter disregard and even contempt for residents–and fellow council members–who fail to agree with them in all things, THEY MUST GO.

  5. The Mayor and his 2 Cronies will wait to just before the election and then they will try to do something with the property and house. This way the people will forget about “Their backdoor sneakiness, manipulation of this town and its laws, traditions, and preferences, and utter disregard and even contempt for residents–and fellow council members who fail to agree with them in all things” FOLKS will remember the recent good thing they are try to do. This is an old political move. Meanwhile the house the sits and rots and playing field are over crowed.

  6. Why don’t you run #4? You sounds like an un-opinionated bowl of cherries on a hot summer morning…

  7. who is going to pay for this.

  8. #7. Ask Paul Aronsohn. He made the promise.

  9. No matter how many fields you build they will always be over crowded, sell to a private owner and be done with it.

  10. The proposed use destroys the character of that important piece of land. We don’t need another baseball field with the accompanying parking, traffic, and other headaches. Leave the trees up and find another use for the land!
