We know what to do come election time. This agenda has been push by the 3 amigos for a long time. They have close ties with some of the developers who will profit by this along with member of the Chamber of Commerce . Next item on their agenda is the parking garage to help certain members of the Chamber. To show how enforcement of ordinances are only for certain people I direct you attention to the wall/planter in front of Greek to Me and the large political sign at Ken Smith Motors. Same person is responsible for both of them , a strong supporter of our Mayor.
Although I suspect that some if not most of the 1000 resident that sign the petition voted for the Dream Team that 1000 votes are enough to vote them out of office before the come up with something else to take car of their friends.
Next april’s election is way too late to stop the madness. There needs to be a concerted effort now.
Even if the election was tomorrow, it probably wouldn’t accomplish anything. Turnouts are always anemic.
Turnouts are anemic, the horse has left the barn and NOW you want to stop the madness??? Ridgewood residents are getting exactly what they deserve. asleep at the switch for years…rampant unions milking you dry along with a BOE with a100 million dollar budget and they got away with it because you never gave a shit as long as the allure shined on your real estate and getting a diploma from RHS…and now your shocked…you have been used and abused and NOW you want to do something about it.
Sorry…just keep paying your redicilous property taxes…we have pensions to fund and pockets to line…now go back to sleep.
Declan is correct people in the village are mostly all talk no action.
Boycott Greek To Me….hit him where it hurts….
Sure…just like everyone is boycotting Raymond’s after they stole from their employees.
never heard about ?
If anyone wanted to conduct a little research among Ridgewood residents, they would find that the vast majority are completely oblivious as to who occupies its Village Council and what issues are being decided-upon. I’ve said it before that Ridgewood is the perfect place for self-serving politicians. The residents are mostly school-kid transients, they have highly-involved careers and social lives, and simply don’t have the inclination or time to consider politics below that of the national level. The local politicians have always known this, and they simply organize relatively small voting bases to get them over the finish line. You can call for recalls or boycotts all you like, I hope you enjoy boycotting that restaurant with your two other friends who feel the same way. Meanwhile, the place will be packed as usual.
Now the Mayor , Council and the breath of fresh air Village Manager are going to say that the political sign in the picture does not violate and Village Ordinance. Are kidding me.
Don”t worry Paul V we will be checking you campaign contributors out. Let see if they get any special treatment like you.
The union again 9:46. You probable vote for the 3 amigos. What a joke.
It’s never too late. It is time to clean house and stop voting these self-serving clowns into office. Hanging your campaign sign in front of a redevelopment site is a bit inconsistent with their campaign slogan of putting the community first.
Is the sign legal or not does anyone know?
Everybody is boycotting Raymonds?… looks like they’re doing a good trade to me…. everyone can yell and scream all they want in anonymity and talk about on-line petitions but it doesn’t work. Mahwah had people going door to door and they vetted their displeasure in person at meetings. That doesn’t happen here. The “self serving” clowns, 3 amigos and whatever else the collective anonymous call them will likely yet again be re-elected if they choose to run.
“The “self serving” clowns, 3 amigos and whatever else the collective anonymous call them will likely yet again be re-elected if they choose to run.”
Never. Knudson and Sedon both won because they were not in favor of massive overbuilding. The CBR has been doing a great job of getting people informed and these ladies are NOT pushovers. This is NOT over.
okay tuscanina, whatever you say…. look at what Mahwah did and it wasn’t via vetting in cyberspace… keep on flailing and posturing… this a great venue for making your voice heard but unfortunately hasn’t resulted in any meaningful action… good luck on the next election results…
And I didn’t know CBR was exclusively female? Also tell the ladies that the website is totally out of date… like I previously said, well intentioned but amateurish…
people wake up and do something now. the three bums need to go. and we all know who is with them, they are all going down.
so much dirt.
9:46 and Declan at 11:27 nailed it… Apathetic residents who haven’t fought back on property taxes, poor Village management including outright theft, and outrageous contracts for teachers, administrators and public safety. Now the albatrosses are coming home to roost, and still the apathy…
12:47, your like your property taxes which pay unionized teachers and Village and County employees? You must be union or on a public pension, so your part of the problem, not any solution.
While the 3 Amigos and their friends are destroying Ridgewood you are still fixated on union. You never miss and opportunity to interject unions in all of these post. You blame them for all the woes of the Village and the State while the people that you voted for are dancing. What a narrow minded person.
Some dummy said…..You must be union or on a public pension, so your part of the problem, not any solution.
You my friend are the problem, you came to a town that provides many premier services and values their community. That cost money, like it or not. You remind me of the guy who walked into my Mercedes Benz showroom and looked at a few cars and complained the prices were too high. If you can only afford a Ford don’t walk into a Mercedes Benz showroom and complain about the prices, go to a Ford dealership.
If you can’t afford the taxes in Ridgewood you are free to move to another town where you can afford the taxes, and you don’t even need a passport C.K. to go there. Bye, and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out Mr. I hate public sector workers.
I guess the sign ordinances in town only apply to certain people and certain businesses.
Premier services?
that’s your argument?
so when the UNION guy stole from the parking facility that was a premier service?
the BOE and it’s 100 MILLION DOLLAR budget is a premier service?
and the carpet bagger Paul Aronsohn is a premier mayor?
I suppose your a premier DPW guy as well, no?
your argument is only in favor of keeping the status quo…massive budgets, no accoutability and
an electorate that plain dosen’t give a shit…don’t try and snowball me with your “premier” crap.
your safe for now…until your unfunded and unsustainable pension goes bye-bye. can’t wait for that.
“Paul Aronsohn is a premier mayor” Tell the truth 10:20 you voted for him didn’t you. Yo must be at a great job if you can read and post here.
To June 5, 2015 at 10:20 am,
No one told you that you had to live here. If you hate it here so much….. leave. Permit me to refute your dumb comments one by one.
.
1) so when the UNION guy stole from the parking facility that was a premier service?
the BOE and it’s 100 MILLION DOLLAR budget is a premier service?
.
So because one employee was a thief you are going to paint all Union Employees as a thief’s…..Is that what your saying? Do you realize how stupid that statement is? I am sure everyone in your chosen profession is honest and there are no thief’s, yea and I have a cheap bridge you can buy in New York City
.
2) the BOE and it’s 100 MILLION DOLLAR budget is a premier service?
.
In the past rarely did the residents of the Village vote no to the BOE budget. Do you know why, intelligent residents realize a quality education is worth the investment. Clearly you, with your apparent 11th grade education, can not appreciate the true value of an education.
.
3) I suppose your a premier DPW guy as well, no?
.
Sorry, you suppose wrong. Drawing conclusions in a vacuum of ignorance aren’t you. You know nothing about me, and we both know that. Yet despite that fact you go ahead and make foolish and wild accusations. A sure sign of your intelligence, or should I say lack there of.
.
4) your safe for now…until your unfunded and unsustainable pension goes bye-bye. can’t wait for that.
.
Another statement by you made in a large vacuum of ignorance. I am NOT an employee or retiree of the town, county or state. Is it possible you missed taking your medication this morning? There is clearly something wrong with you.
11:23, are you married to an employee or retiree of the town or state? The status quo is unacceptable and yet here you are, again, defending it and whining about anyone who would dare question the broken status quo. Ergo, you and your husband and people like him are the problem
Stocks must be down 11:23. No commission today. Time to cut back.
OK 11:23 let’s take your comments, if that’s what you call them, one by one:
1) there are 2 questions in your first comment and then you only answer one…NO GOOD.
2) Yes, I will buy your bridge. if I amortized the cost over the remaining years I commute to the city it’s a good buy.
3) what colour should I paint the union employees? it’s summer so i’m thinking Hazel with pink and blue undertones.
4) you asked the same question in 2 that you asked in 1…NO GOOD.
5) Drawing conclusions in a vacuum of ignorance is only done in dating…if you want to go on a date you have to take
me to It’s Greek To Me…IF we can find a parking space.
6) you use the word vacuum too many times in different context…this is not scientific data…if your talking about
vacuuming the parlor that’s fine.
7) one only NEEDS an 11th grade education to see that their getting ripped off by the BOE…7th grade actually.
8) if you think for ONE SECOND I and others on this blog do not think that your a union thug you are sadly
mistaken…but you get 3 points for trying.
9) and stop with the medication thing…your giving yourself away as evidenced in other threads within this blog that
you are clearly a union lackey, toadie and sycophant.
10) carry on
