Yes, placing at least a temporary camera in places where problems have been identified would make a lot of sense and cost very little. We are so lucky to have curbside trash pickup FREE roughly twice a month. There is no excuse for this laziness and yes, commission of a crime. The trouble is that once trash begins to accumulate, it’s seen as a free zone. Not true. We should all care about our parks.
YES…
Let’s get the government surveilence “toe” in the door.
.
Lets start with “temporary” cameras to surveil a known crime scene – most people likely agree with this.
.
Then let’s say “It makes sense to keep the cameras there permanently and besides it will cost more to remove the cameras”
.
Then let’s say “Since it worked so well here, let’s have a ‘trial run’ of cameras in and around municipal proerties”
.
Then of couse “it just makes sense” to make these a permanent item in the budget.
.
Then it becomes clear that “its obvious that surveillance cameras should be in the CBD”
.
Of course “it logically follows that surveillance cameras should be placed on all streets in the village.
.
And finally “With today’s technology the village should tie in to all of the personal surveillance cameras on residents properties – voluntary compliance of course, but we’ll entice the residents by giving them a tax credit to join their personal surveillance cameras into the municipal network”
.
So YES… let’s implement those cameras.
Big Brother was supposed to be implemented over 30 years ago.
