Our roads are a shambles,beyond the winter frost freeze and expanding pothole excuses …; the ongoing maintenance and milling of our main and secondary roadways are completely inadequate.meanwhile we are looking at tearing up the safety median at the train station raceway.Incredible..
Utility companies cut and run while highly paid village police offices yes on pseg perdiem and we pay their benefits and pensions while they stand by texting and witness the crime.North Pleasant Fairway and so many other main streets are like a war zone on our cars ,runners and bicyclist.
No real solutions offered outside of its on a list..ill tell my car repair guy so that he can plan to hire many more repair folks for Tires,Suspensions Shocks ,underbody and other serious car damage invoicing to Vor taxpayers.Its simply unacceptable .town in a serious downward spiral .
I was thinking the same thing today. West Glen and South Broad are both a mess.
Is the plan to have both of these streets repaved now that the work has been completed?
Nevermind…..just saw the other post that Glen is being repaved. That’s a start.
All this repaving is lovely, but what typically happens is a couple of weeks afterwards, PSE&G or some other utility comes along and digs a trench, only to do a half-assed patch job when they’re finished.
Pseg did a half ass patch on my street last year.
I called the village engineering dept and they made pseg make it right
I drove down Brookside (across from the HS)….good god almighty, what a mess…
I have a question for RPD…is it a violation to park your car in the other direction….?
My neighbor’s kids do this all of the time. Sometimes they leave the car out in front of the house all night….
Oh my – for the taxes you people pay here – these roads are always a mess – they are constantly being torn up and what seems like a moments notice. All over the town, at any given time, every year – detour! What on earth are they doing – it never seems to end. (the roads a day after the snow were awful also)
If this council is truly transparent, they should release information on how much money is spent on repaving each year.
