>I know from my experience at RHS that there is a dire need for an electrical upgrade and fire system upgrade.
Remember RHS was built wing by wing decades apart which means a major differences in electrical design.
1919
1931
1962
2000
Just think of the difference in electrical systems.
The fire alarm system is very good for what they have to work with but new classroom standards require a individual fire alarms in each room which RHS is in need of in older sections.
Because of the differences in fire systems i used find it amusing that the new sections of the school would alarm about 5 seconds before the other sections.
I think when it comes to safety of the people inside the school they can spend what it needs to get the job done.
>Yes, we need fire alarms in every classroom.
It just seems like a lot of money for this type of job.
Does any one know how many bids they got for this before going with LAN Associates?
>Didn’t The Record publish an article several months ago about LAN Associates recommending a new roof for a leak prone school in the City of Passaic, and in reality it was nothing more than a baseball clogging a drain pipe?
>The ridgewood school system is a wholly owned subsidiary of LAN Associates.
That’s why they ALWAYS get the business.
Follow the money anyone?
>Can someone file an OPRA form to find out if there were other bids?
Where are all PJs lawyers?
>Shouldn’t there be in the agenda items or minutes the other bids? I’ve heard them discuss various bids at times in the meetings. It would be odd that for this one they didn’t. Must have missed that meeting.
>This was on the agenda yesterday…
