It was also recently reported that the Village’s new code enforcement officer (Ms. Tracey Jeffrey) was observed on South Monroe Street driving a vehicle with Rigewood Water logo emblazoned on the door. However, I suppose that the argument could be used that enforcement of the leaf pick up rules impacts water quality.
I observed countless vehicles emblazoned with the Ridgewood Water emblem engaged in snow removal activities on Ridgewood streets following last week’s blizzard. So it appears as though there is some merit to the lawsuit.
Yes, indeed.
and the village manager sent an email announcing she took a drive around with the ‘director of operations’ to inspect snow work. is he director of operations for the village or for ridgewood water?
Far from having merit. The Village owns Ridgewood Water, other towns just pay for water, they don’t own the utility.
Yes 10:43 The Village owns Ridgewood Water but the towns not only pay for the water but also the costs of running the utility passed along to them such as cost of vehicles, employees salaries and benefits are included in the water rates. So if The Village is using Water Dept. vehicles and employees to service just Ridgewood why should the other towns pay for that? You must be using “ROBERTA MATH.”
The vehicles are owned by Ridgewood so put them to use. 10:43am is correct.
10:43 doesn’t understand the legal basis for determining water rates.
Your right 12:10 The cost of operating the water utility are past on to all the rate payers. If vehicles and employees are used for anything else the the delivery of water then why should other towns pay for non utility work being done in the Village. Thats the bases for their law suite.
12:10pm yes I do. Nothing wrong with Ridgewood Water plowing streets in Ridgewood.
lol
12:40pm, keeping the streets clean, which the water mains run under fall within scope of their work. Have you read the suit, cause it doesn’t sound like it?
Why can United water make profits and give them to shareholders? Maybe we can turn the water company into a profit center. We have no obligation to provide cheap water to these other towns . What do these other towns do for ridgewood taxpayers? NOTHING
people in the end, the village of ridgewood own,s the water . this law suite is so screwed up. why is it up to 14, mill. who came up with this. and why is midland park so behind this. why are people making trouble.
