Imagine the look on the supervisors face when they learn that of all the people in Ridgewood they messed up Boyd’s water bill? HA! Of all 25000 people, you had to choose him? So much for special local service and knowing your priority customers.

My water bill is always the same EXCEPT when I use more WATER. I NEVER water the lawn , drought resistant plants, So when guests stay at my house water bill goes UP, for more showers taken, more laundry use.
I would estimate that the bill goes by a range for rates; say 1to three gallons is X amount of money or something like that, that water cost is not measured by the glassful.
Hey, that’s just me, my observation over 40 years of livin here; watchin the bills, not rich, watchin my pennies. Just little OLD me. Did watch over 40 years ago too never had a problem.
Believe me I don’t LOOK for problems; in JOISEY they come lookin for you. Just step outside and drive.
Why oh why didn’t blog post Record article a couple days ago on JOisey being the worst place or one of worst places to drive in the WORLD, said U.S. but I bet the WORLD because so many AGGRESSIVE drivers. Hey, did ya ever sample the JOisey people.

For the most part, it’s all about trust when it comes to the accuracy of utility bills. We trust that they are right and we pay them. I haven’t had any confidence in my Ridgewood Water bills for quite a long time now. I don’t believe that there’s any deliberate hanky-panky going on but what I do believe is that the utility is run by a bunch of political contectees who simply have no other interest in running the utility other than to maintain their positions.
Remember when a woman went to the meeting and her bill was several thousand dollars???

I do remember that! Roberta Sonenfeld was village manager then and as I later found out she was treated rather unsatisfactorily. The mistake occurred over several years and she was not given much extra time to pay in full.
