“These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and “Make America Great Again.” President Elect Donald J Trump

Secret CIA assessment says Russia was trying to help Trump win White House

By Adam Entous, Ellen Nakashima and Greg Miller December 9 at 10:45 PM

The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, according to officials briefed on the matter.

Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton’s chances.

“It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected,” said a senior U.S. official briefed on an intelligence presentation made to U.S. senators. “That’s the consensus view.”

  1. Russia has also been cited as a source for a lot of fake news sites that pumped false stories about Clinton.

They were successful. Cast doubts on our election process and helped to elect Trump.

What plans do you think they have for Trump? He is such a dupe he thinks that Putin actually admires him.

    1. the “fake news “came from the NYTimes, MSNBC, ABC,CBS, NBC and so on , WikiLeaks proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that both Clinton and the DNC were in collusion with the media to rig the election.

  2. The Left has been gaming the news for years and it reached ridiculous levels up through the election. It was so outrageously biased that I’m convinced it turned a lot of people off who went out of their way to vote-in Trump. The mainstream media are not only still at it, but they seem to have doubled-down on stupid. CNN, a once fairly decent news outlet, has become something along the lines of MSNBC meets Air America. It’s so funny. Instead of accepting that Hillary was a poor choice of candidate, it must be something else. It must be fake news. Funny,

  3. Fake News = ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, CNN, MSNBC, Brian Williams, Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, etc. Who’s kidding whom?

  4. Brian Williams, the most famous news faker of all time, had the audacity to run a special on MSNBC about this latest fake news issue.

  5. James. What “fake news” stories came from The Times, MSNBC ….? “The pope endorsed trump” or “the clinton’s had an FBI agent killed”. The “clintons are running child sex slave ring”

  6. The opening quote from Donald Trump reflects the disconnect between real facts and fake news. He states that he won “one of the biggest Electorial College victories in history.” Completely untrue. He won 306 to 232, a margin of 74 votes. Yet President Obama won in 2012 (the last election) 332 to 206, a margin of 126 votes. In 2008, Obama’s margin was 365 to 173, a margin of 192 votes. In fact with the exception of George H Bush’s two wins, every Electorial College winning margin since 1976 has exceeded the 2016 result. An easly checked, simple statement by Donald Trump to set up this article is itself a gross misstatement of the facts. Why give credence to a demonstrably incorrect “fact” to set-up a story on “fake” news.

  7. Here’s some fake “mainstream” news stories for you to consider, 10:08pm:
    .
“The Zapruder film:” frames of video footage of JFK’s assassination were reversed, making it appear that Kennedy’s head lurched the opposite direction, spawning a million conspiracy theories about multiple gun men, the grassy knoll, etc.
“The October Surprise:” Reagan supposedly sent Bush 41 to Iran to prevent the hostages from being released until he was elected president. Bush never went to Iran, and his whereabouts on the supposed dates were very public.
“Bush 43 snorted Coke”… according to a Texas inmate whose only known encounter with Bush was when Bush refused to pardon him.
    “Laura Bush had an abortion.”
“Proof Bush avoided the draft” was based on a letter publicized by Dan Rather on 60 minutes that was such an obvious forgery, TV viewers spotted fifteen proofs of forgery from their living room couches.
“Jet fuel doesn’t burn hot enough to destroy the Twin Towers” It doesn’t burn hot enough to melt steel, but it burns plenty hot enough to weaken it. Ever take metal shop, anyone?
“Mad Max Beyond Superdome” No, after Hurricane Katrina, the Louisiana stadium was not filled of desperate people resorting to cannibalism.
“Blame for Katrina” The Bush administration had attempted to use federal funds to rebuild the dykes and levees in Louisiana, but was blocked by local Democrat politicians.
“Tar balls in the Gulf coast” were an entirely natural phenomenon. If they were affected at all by the oil spill disaster it was because there were fewer oil rigs to collect natural seepage, which leak far more oil every year than the oil spillage.
Most contentiously, “Project Veritas” misled America by editing footage to make it appear that Planned Parenthood sold baby parts, PP also arranged to keep child prostitution secret, NPR negotiated with reporters undercover as Islamicists, Clinton staffers coaching on how to commit vote fraud, … except, oh, yeah… Project Veritas released the entire unedited footage with the footage that had been merely edited for time, just like every news story based on recorded footage since the dawn of man. This is contentious, because I suppose it’s partly subjective whether the fact that a PP employee went in the back room to discuss a proposal to smuggle child prostitutes with her manager for several minutes amounts to exculpatory evidence; “obviously” it demonstrates some hesitance.
And some less important, but outrageous ones:
Dateline NBC demonstrated that GM minivans were prone to burn when struck in a collision, but didn’t include “if you overfill them with gas, and you stick bottle rockets where the gas is flowing out of them.”
A Food Lion was busted with old meat in the meat fridge… moments after it was put there by the network reporter who busted them.
The Washington Post accuses dozens of “right-wing” news sites and aggregators of spreading anonymous Russian-sourced fake news stories they found on the web and failed to verify … based on some anonymous probably Ukrainian-sourced fake news stories they found on the web and failed to verify.

  8. Hillary is a consummate serial liar. From lying to the parents of the four Benghazi dead in front of their sons’ caskets, repeating the infamous video lie, of which she arguably was the architect, to dodging sniper fire in Bosnia, to being named for Sir Edmund Hillary years before he climbed Mt. Everest, to her claim she made $100,000 in the futures market almost literally overnight just from reading the Wall Street Journal.
    .
Her call for a war on “fake news” is laughable. As Politico reports:
    .
“This is not about politics or partisanship,” Clinton said during remarks at a tribute to retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). “Lives are at risk.”
    .
Clinton’s reference to the “real-world consequences” of fake news comes days after a gunman briefly occupied a Washington pizza restaurant mentioned in false reports of a child sex-trafficking ring linked to the former secretary of state. But Clinton went beyond domestic sources of fake news to decry “foreign propaganda,” touting a bipartisan effort in Congress to “boost the government’s response” to it.
    .
Vladimir Putin may have ordered the hacking of Hillary’s and the DNC’s damning emails to help Trump, but that’s irrelevant. The emails and Hillary’s lies about them are quite real. Russia didn’t set up her illegal and unsecured server, nor did Russia write, send, and then delete emails containing classified information under subpoena using sophisticated means. Hillary did that, not Russia. That’s real news, not fake.
    .
As for putting lives at risk, Hillary’s lies and reckless carelessness included the transmission of emails containing the names of actual CIA operatives in the field involved in clandestine operations. As the New York Post reported:
    .
Hillary Clinton’s e-mails included the names of CIA officers serving overseas and foreigners who are on the spy agency’s payroll — potentially endangering their lives, it was reported Monday.
    .
“It’s a death sentence,” a senior intelligence-community official told the Observer. “If we’re lucky, only [foreign] agents, not our officers, will get killed because of this.”
    .
The paper said the intelligence community is in panic mode trying to determine which agents may have been compromised.
    .
CIA officials assume foreign agencies intercepted unencrypted e-mails stored on Clinton’s home server while she was secretary of state.
    .
Hillary is a master of fake news, particularly that involving the loss of lives she was responsible for. Her pushing of the narrative that Benghazi was the fault of a video was the ultimate in fake news. Hillary was an active participant in the Benghazi video lie repeated on five Sunday talk shows by then U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, by President Obama six times before the United Nations, and by Hillary and the president to the parents of the dead in front of their son’s caskets.
    .
The question of the day should not be about Melania Trump’s journalistic ethics, but about the total lack of conscience that allowed Hillary Clinton to tell her the daughter the truth about Benghazi being a terrorist attack and then lie about a video to the American people and to the parents of the Benghazi dead. As Patricia Smith, mother of Benghazi vicitm Sean Smith, told the convention:
    .
“In an email to her daughter shortly after the attack, Hillary Clinton blamed it on terrorism. But when I saw Hillary Clinton at Sean’s coffin ceremony, just days later, she looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible,” Smith said. “Since then, I have repeatedly asked Hillary Clinton to explain to me the real reason why my son is dead. I’m still waiting.”
    .
Then there is another bit of fake news which Hillary has embraced that has cost the lives of many police officers the “hands up, don’t shoot” lie that began in Ferguson, Missouri and which spawned the Black Lives matter movement.
    .
Hillary sought the endorsement of Black Lives Matter but blew off the Fraternal Order of Police. As the Dally Caller reported:
    .
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton pursued the endorsement of Black Lives Matter activists but blew off the largest police union in the United States…
    .
The mothers of Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner stood on stage in Philadelphia praising Clinton.“Hillary Clinton has the compassion and understanding to support grieving mothers,” Sybrina Fulton, mother of Martin, said. “She has the courage to lead the fight for commonsense gun legislation. She has a plan to divide that so often exists between law enforcement and the communities they serve.”
    .
On the other hand, the Clinton campaign appeared to string the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) on for a period of time until staff told the union Clinton would not seek its endorsement, The Hill reported.
    .
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke observed on Fox News recently that “fake news” has a birth date and a birthplace:
    .
Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Milwaukee County, WI Sheriff David Clarke said the entire phenomenon of so-called “fake news” began in 2014 with the “hands up, don’t shoot” claim of the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO.
    .
Clarke called it a “lie” and said it had been propagated by many mainstream media outlets.
    .
“It’s the anniversary of that fateful summer night in August of 2014 that started with the ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ lie that was propagated by every mainstream liberal media across this country,” Clarke said. “The New York Times, The Washington Post, the LA Times, the Chicago Tribune, CNN, MSNBC all propagated that ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ lie. It was from that time forward that this concept of fake news was talked about.”
    .
Fake news has been the trademark of liberal media outlets for a long time — just ask Dan Rather and Brian Williams, whose career ended with lies and deceit. Whether you trace its beginnings to Ferguson or Benghazi or before, it has been perfected by liberals and Democrats. Liberals oppose the free flow of information and the right of people to make up their own minds. We’re not stupid, Hillary. CBS, ABC, and NBC are no longer the gatekeepers deciding what we see and hear. We can figure it out, just like we figured Hillary out. Fake news? Hillary Clinton is its poster child.
