Rep. Garrett Introduces Resolution Outlining POTUS Violation of Constitution
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ) issued the following statement after introducing a concurrent resolution expressing the sense of Congress that President Obama violated Section 3 of Article II of the Constitution by refusing to enforce the employer mandate provisions of ObamaCare.
“Our government depends upon the rule of law. President Obama is in violation of Section 3 of Article II of the Constitution by refusing to enforce the employer mandate provisions of ObamaCare. The executive branch, which has no constitutional authority to write or rewrite law at whim, has usurped the exclusive legislative power of Congress.
“Given that ObamaCare has proven to be unworkable, I believe the law should be repealed by Congress immediately.”
The supreme court upheld the health care law and Garrett is nothing more than a windbag who has not done anything in congress.
The supreme court ruled it was just another TAX, thats all
Of course Rept. Garrett would oppose this – he is receiving the best health care coverage in the cournty. While I do not disagree that Obama Care does have it flaws – it is something for the rest of the country who are not as forutnate as Mr. Garrett to have superior health care coverage. Mr. Garrett is out of touch and out of reality with what is going all with the rest of us in this wonderful country. At least Mr. Obama is attempting to do something – what I would ask of Rep. Garrett is this simple question – what about the rest of us sir ?? We are one of the richest countries is this world however, there are so many of us without adequate means and health care coverage that we cannot ever go for a doctor’s visit – if there is anything major wrong – we all might as well lie down and let the illness take over. Maybe this is what Rep. Garrett wants – weed them out.
Here here! I totally agree… let him give up some of his benefits, and try to live on minimum wage and get health care. Yes, I agree with last post, and I will bet that he wouldn’t vote for food stamp extension either, as an “unnecessary program” Why doesn’t he spend his time trying to help out people, and pass legislation, instead of being one of the people responsible for a “do-nothing” Congress. The mantra is “oppose, oppose” and no positive solutions. Where was he when health care was discussed in the first place years ago? It was a Republican idea in the first place! But once a Democrat proposed it, he opposed it.
you do realize you can go out and buy you own healthcare , and you are going to pay plenty for Obamacare
pj these dopes think they are getting free healthcare lol , Obamcare will be like going to the DMV for healthcare , and you deserve it , i dont mind helping people who need help , but I am not paying for any moochers like the two who just posted
So what do you call the type of government where one person can dictate which laws will be followed, when they have to be followed, and who has to follow them?
