Hoboken NJ, Democrats’ odds to win the 2021 New Jersey Gubernatorial Election have worsened since last month, according to betting industry analysts at USsportsbonus.com (See Disclaimer Below). In mid-June, Democrats were the 1/15 favorites to win (93.8% implied probability), but those odds have since worsened to 1/10 (90.9%).
During the same timeframe, the Republicans’ odds have moved more favorably. Since June 14, the Republicans’ odds to win the 2021 New Jersey Gubernatorial Election improved from 6/1 (14.3% implied probability) to 11/2 (15.4%).
“The betting data still shows Murphy with a substantial lead over Ciattarelli, but the movement is a good sign for the Republican challenger,” says US Sportsbonus gambling industry analyst Jay Sanin. “However, Ciattarelli still has a lot of ground to cover, as Murphy is heavily favored to be the New Jersey’s first Democratic Governor to be re-elected in over 40 years.”
