Somerville NJ, Today, Republican frontrunner Jack Ciattarelli released the following statement on new reports exposing the detailed efforts of Governor Cuomo to conceal the true number of deaths caused by his nursing home directive, a directive that was identical to the one issued by Governor Murphy:
“Anyone who lost a loved one or has legitimate questions about how Governor Murphy carelessly handled COVID-19 patients in our nursing homes and long-term care facilities has nowhere to turn for answers.
Governor Murphy’s hand-picked Attorney General and Democrats in the legislature have refused to investigate this tragic loss of life. I fully support Republicans in the legislature, who are starting their investigation today, but we must go further.
The Murphy Administration has failed to respond to our OPRA request. Given what we now know about the Cuomo cover up, we demand that the Murphy Administration immediately release these records to restore the public’s trust.”
