Ridgewood NJ, on Monday, May 26 at 11:00 am, Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 will conduct its annual Memorial Day Service in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our nation in all branches of our armed forces. The service is open to the public, and all are invited to attend.
Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47said it best in a Facebook post:
“This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
As you enjoy the holiday with family and friends, please stay safe. Whether you’re grilling, swimming (maybe not this weekend!), or watching fireworks, keep safety a top priority.
Let’s have fun, but also take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day. Thank you to all who have served! “

Seems unwise to have planned this at roughly the same time as the run. Unfortunate.
Huh? Pretty sure Memorial Day is not about running ! But, you do you.
This isn’t about judging one another’s priorities, asshole. This is simply suggesting that there may have been an opportunity to coordinate schedules so that Village residents could attend both. But you do you.
It is a tradition
