RIDGEWOOD NJ, Ridgewood celebrated Independence Day in a big way, putting on one of the biggest parades in the region, complete with some exotic and vintage cars.

Mayor Ramon M Hache with Tina Hache, David Madden, Grand Marshall of the July 4th Parade, RHS grad, and Jeopardy! champion.
Marching bands, baton twirlers, first responders and our nation’s veterans earned cheers and well wishes from the large crowd that lined the parade route.
The festivities kicked off at 9 a.m. with the Flag Raising at Wilsey Square and the Parade got started on Godwin Avenue at 10:00 am where a massive American flag flew overhead.
Ridgewood Fourth of July Committee summed it up ,”It was another beautiful Fourth of July in Ridgewood! We cannot express enough appreciation for the dedication of our volunteers, and the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and community members. While the fireworks show did not go exactly as planned, the safety precautions we put in place ensured no one was injured. A special thank you to the Village of Ridgewood fire department and surrounding towns who were on site for their quick response. We hope everyone has a healthy and happy summer and look forward to seeing you next Fourth of July! Thank you again for continuing to support the tradition.”
