The holidays are winding down, and it is time to say goodbye to the Tannenbaum. To help residents clear out the pine needles, the Village of Ridgewood has announced the official 2026 Christmas tree collection schedule.

Ridgewood NJ, Starting January 2 through January 30, the Village will provide curbside pickup to ensure your tree is recycled properly. Here is the breakdown of when and where to leave your tree.

🗓️ 2026 Curbside Collection Schedule

Pickup is determined by which side of town you live on. To ensure you don’t miss the truck, please have your tree at the curb by 7:00 AM on your designated day.

  • East Side Residents: Pickup takes place every Tuesday.

  • West Side Residents: Pickup takes place every Thursday.

⚠️ Important Requirement: You must remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments, and stands before bringing your tree to the curb. Trees left in plastic bags or with decorations still attached will not be collected.

🎄 Wreaths and Garlands

Unlike full-sized trees, wreaths and garlands are not part of the recycling program.

  • Disposal: Wreaths and garlands should be placed out with your regular garbage pickup.

  • Pro Tip: Remember to remove the wire frames from wreaths before tossing them if you plan on reusing the frames for next year!
