RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Ridgewood Village Council has announced several major updates to its spring meeting schedule, including a high-stakes special meeting on March 25 that could reshape local land use and infrastructure.

Whether you are following the long-awaited remediation of the Schedler Property or interested in the Village’s new approach to affordable housing, these upcoming sessions at Village Hall (131 N. Maple Ave) are essential for residents.

⚠️ Schedule Change: Passover Observance

Please take note of a significant date shift for the upcoming Work Session:

  • NEW DATE: Monday, March 30

  • OLD DATE: Originally scheduled for April 1

  • REASON: Observance of Passover

The “Big Three” on the March 25 Agenda

At 7:30 p.m. on March 25, a special public meeting will be held in the Sydney V. Stoldt Jr. Court Room to vote on three major local initiatives:

  1. Schedler Property Soil Remediation: Adoption of a bond ordinance to officially fund the cleanup and development of the Schedler site.

  2. Affordable Housing Overhaul: A vote to rescind and replace Chapter 190 of the Land Use and Development code, modernizing how Ridgewood handles affordable housing requirements.

  3. Oak & Glen Traffic Signal: Awarding a professional service contract for engineering services at the busy intersection of Oak Street and E. Glen Avenue.
