Ridgewood NJ, once again is treated to a litany of issues revolving around councilman Voigt’s social media presence . Northjersey.com is reporting that “Ridgewood Councilman Jeff Voigt provided inaccurate information about one of his Facebook accounts in response to a public records request by NorthJersey.com.”
If you recall the councilman even sued residents over what he called “harassment ” by OPRA requests . Launching a suit against a certain “Victoria Burpee” and a (Mr.) anonymous .
In 2017 residents fought back by suing the councilman for releasing personal information on his highly controversial Facebook page.
And of course there is the blocking of residents from his Facebook page which in a ruling in neighboring Glen Rock last year found that the names of people being blocked from an elected official’s Facebook page are subject to public disclosure. There is a gray area over whether personal accounts are subject to Open Public Records Act requests. In the Glen Rock case, a Superior Court judge ruled that officials’ Facebook pages had clearly listed their status as public officials, and were therefore public records. In Trenton, a judge ruled that a resident was entitled to an updated list of users blocked by the city’s Facebook page.
Since we are all about disclousure for public figures , we noticed our friend “anonymous” on August 2nd of 2019 had put in an OPRA request on Councilman Voigts Facebook page and other matter pertaining to the councilman.

3) All posts on Jeffrey Voigt’s Facebook page and/or profile about any Village of Ridgewood business or matter from June 12, 2019 through June 17, 2019 including comment threads and “likes”.
4) The names of all persons blocked from Jeffrey Voigt’s Facebook profile where Village of Ridgewood business and matters are posted about and discussed, including all persons blocked from July 1, 2016 through June 1, 2019.
5) The names of all persons blocked from specific individual posts on Jeffrey Voigt’s Facebook profile in which Village of Ridgewood business and matters are posted about and discussed from June 1, 2017 through June 5, 2017, June 12, 2019 through June 17, 2019, and July 1, 2019 through July 8, 2019.

In the official OPRA response to North Jersey Media Group, the Village supplied a list of 28 Ridgewood taxpayers who Voigt had blocked. The list of blocked taxpayers was provided by Voigt himself.
Did Sue Knudsen provide accurate information about the soil certification at Schedler? Just asking…
