Ridgewood Firefighters Receive Honors

Ridgewood NJ, Firefighters  received  awards at Wednesday’s  Village Council meeting primarily in response to actions taken during the  Broad Street “Bagelicious” fire in April of 2020. Mark Barone and Matthew Bombace received a  Lifesaving Award.


The Unit Citation Award – Broad Street Fire/Bagelicious was presented to Thomas Benintende, Timothy Bombace, Paul Brennan,Kurt Harba, John Judge, Jason Kane, Brian Kelly, Oscar Martinez, Michael McLaughlin, Matthew Musicant, Michael Rohrman, Christopher Wolfstirn.

Michael McLaughlin was awarded the Medal of Honor – Broad Street Fire/Bagelicious the highest honor bestowed by the Ridgewood Fire Department for saving a life during the fire.
