Join us for the 109th annual Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4th, 2019
DONATE HERE TO SUPPORT THE TRADITION!
Come out to Steel Wheel Tavern, located at 51 N. Broad Street in Ridgewood on Wednesday, June 19 where 20% of all proceeds from their sales for the day will be donated to the Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration! 50/50 tickets and fireworks tickets will also be available for sale!
Each year, the Fourth of July Celebration Committee chooses a theme that celebrates a certain aspect of American history or culture. The theme also serves as the basis for the float competition held among the town’s elementary schools.
The 2019 celebration theme as “ALL-AMERICAN SUMMER.” The theme aims to celebrate all things summer in America – backyard barbeques, baseball games, outdoor concerts, camping, fairs, cross country road trips, or driving to the Jersey shore – we all have a favorite!
The Ridgewood Fourth of July Celebration is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that relies on sponsors, private donations and fireworks ticket sales to fund the day’s festivities, security and all other costs. Please consider making a donation to keep our great tradition alive!

Humm ware is valley.
Don’t have the parade then.
Here we go, I love to Fourth of July. Maybe you could have the police volunteer their time on that day. Just a Thought .
Yeah right too cheep!!!
Sedon said a couple years ago that the Schedler project is paid for by tax dollars. It costs millions to clear cut trees and put in parking and golden bathrooms etc. , but he said it will be budgeted over the years so tax payers like you and me won’t feel the full brunt of it so much every year. Ha ha ha. My answer to them is this: Notice how they are asking us all to contribute to the July 4th fireworks and parade. If they hadn’t destroyed the untouched land at Schedler and left it alone, with just some walking trails, the town would have money to contribute to the July 4 Celebration. That would have been great. Using extra money they had saved for our celebration. I would have been on board with that, using my tax dollars for that. But I ain’t contributing one cent because of Schedler and the destruction at the train station, cutting away at islands and again cutting down mature trees. The council has their nerve, well I have mine. They might read this and make an excuse why tax dollars can’t be used for July 4. And that would be untrue. Tax dollars can be used for whatever purpose is lawful according to the state and federal govt. Master plans can be changed . Apts can be built. Beautiful life-giving woods can be cut down. Wasteful lighting can be lit all night long. Anything goes. So, council you waste money. Don’t ask me to contribute for July 4!
So true! I am also furious at how train station has been maimed and the trees at Schedler. This VC is accelerating the urbanization of RW. Not a cent will be contributed by me. I don’t even care to have a parade so that this VC can show off and feel good about themselves.
What a damn mess. Of course
