Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood School Board has announced its advanced placement scholars. One hundred fifty-six RHS students have been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college level Advanced Placement Examinations. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on the students’ performance on AP exams. At Ridgewood High School:
13 students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4.0 or higher on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams
60 students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
33 students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
63 students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with grades of 3 or higher.
38 award recipients are juniors and one is a sophomore. The juniors have at least one more year in which to do college-level work and the sophomore has two more years, to possibly earn another Advanced Placement Award.
I guess the boe budget is working and worth it. Just leave the process alone
