Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Choral is pleased to announce Calvin Harper, trombonist of Ridgewood, NJ as the winner of the 2022 Florence Reinauer Memorial Music Award of $2500 for excellence in instrumental or vocal performance. Margot Jerkovich, soprano of Ridgewood, NJ is this year’s winner of the Marjorie Vandervoort Vocal Award of $1200.
Mr. Harper and Ms. Jerkovich will perform at the Ridgewood Choral Annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 9 at 7:30 pm at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood. Tickets will be available at the door on the day of the performance for $20.00 cash or check.
The Choral is looking forward to singing live after a two-year hiatus due to COVID. This 92nd Spring Concert will also be a special one as it will be Marjorie Vandervoort’s final concert as our Music Director. She is retiring after 28 years of leading the Choral. The program will feature classical, folk and popular selections representing the unique mix that has been a hallmark of Ms. Vandervoort’s direction.
