Ridgewood-NJ-March 17, 2026: On Saturday evening March 14th, there was a hue of green inside the Knights of Columbus Hall, as the Ridgewood Knights hosted their annual St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance. Celebrating the life and legacy of Saint Patrick is a tradition that the People of Ireland started over a thousand years ago.
The Best of Everything catered a full-course of traditional Irish favorites of corned beef and cabbage, as well as American fare. Musicians Jim Gibney and Fergal Hayes entertained the crowd with Irish classics and great folk music. There was a $2,500 raffle as well as gift baskets consisting of great food, spirits, and services from Ridgewood and other nearby establishments. “The St. Patrick’s Dinner Dance is the premier fundraiser for the Knights, which supports many of our charitable activities”, said Grand Knight John Walicki. “We are especially thankful for the generosity of many local businesses that donated the items to make this event possible,” said Walicki. Beneficiaries of the Ridgewood Knight’s charities include local food pantries, handicapped homes and services, homeless shelters and Catholic charities.
The evening was capped off when Walicki presented Kevin Casey with the Knight of the Year Award, thanking him for his many contributions and efforts to the Ridgewood Council throughout the year. “While I can think of other Knights who are more deserving of this award, I am nonetheless humbled and appreciate this recognition,” said Casey.
