Ridgewood NJ, according to the Ridgewood League of Women Voters because of the seriousness of the coronavirus, the  New Jersey State League of Women Voters has strongly urged local Leagues to cancel any League face to face interactions including Candidates Forums. In addition, the Bergen County Executive, Jim Tedesco, has declared a Bergen County shutdown of all schools and public places.

For these reasons, the Ridgewood League of Women Voters is regretfully cancelling the League of Women Voters  Board of Education Candidates Night scheduled on March 31.Other Leagues are also cancelling their Forums.

The Bergen County Superintendent of Elections has informed us that as of now, the School Board Election will be held as scheduled on April 21.  However, a final decision regarding whether this  election will actually occur on April 21 is pending.

Ridgewood League of Women Voters still plans to proceed with their digital  “VOTERS’ GUIDE FOR BOARD OF EDUCATION/BUDGET ELECTION 2020.”

The questionnaire will be sent to candidates in WORD format, which they can respond to in WORD  and return. Responses will be converted to a PDF and sent back to you for review and then formatted, compiled and posted on our Facebook, BOE ENews, social media and email which you can share with Ridgewood Voters.
