Soon after she received accolades from the Ridgewood Board of Education this week, Charlotte Samuels, the 16-year-old world-record swimmer, made an admission: She’s already thinking about conquering the Ocean’s Seven. For those unfamiliar with the feat, which has been accomplished by only six people, it consists of open-water swims through channels from each of the seven continents.

It is appropriate that the Ridgewood School Education dept. take the lead on this one.
I disagree. Charlotte is a resident of our town and should be honor by the whole Village.
our town should honor her commitment and hard work…singular pursuits of seemingly unattainable goals is something that inspires us all…
why should it be led by the dept of ed? she is an example for us all
Charlotte represented all of us. Do something other then a TREE. Lets all be proud of her.
