Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood blog has learned the residents were not the only people to have conflict with soon to be former council women Gwenn Hauck.
A recent OPRA request reveled that the councilwomen also butted heads with the Ridgewood police department over police officers entering her home to hand deliver “council mail packets”.
Chief Ward apologized for the misunderstanding and explained that past incidence with council mail packets not being received by council members has required hand delivery. Officers only entered the home after receiving no response and hearing noise in the home.
Police must have been burned a few times by previous council members claiming never to have received their packets after the police effected delivery. This probably lead to a threatened refusal by the chief of police to continue to allow highly paid and trained patrolman to be used as delivery men, followed by a compromise in which council members agreed to make themselves available to personally receive a hand-delivered packet. Ms. Hauck must have prized her privacy above honoring past agreements between the police and the Council. Special snowflake syndrome.

You do realize there is a charge for OPRA requests, yes? Also, do you have a complaint of wasting police officer’s time to hand deliver packages to our council? That is outrageous. They should be required to pick up all parcels from the clerk and sign off upon receipt.
People make OPRA requests all the time 9:55. About all sorts of things. Fulfilling them is one of the jobs of the village employees. And not just in Ridgewood but all over the state, all over the country. Perhaps YOU consider this a waste of time because YOU are an elected official about whom OPRA requests have been made. Touched a sore spot? Citizens have a RIGHT to view open public records.
Why the hell did the councilwoman get mad at the police for doing their job? She is a piece of work that one. Quite a disgrace to the elected office she holds.
Did you hear her last nigh at the Council meeting making plans a ideas for ridgewood. Maybe she didn’t get the memo. Council Women Gwenn Hauck you are out of office July 1 2016. You then become irrelevant.

And boy did they.
She has always been a nut job and being a council person just made that little secret public. If she wasn’t so damn mean I would actually feel sorry for her but the comment above about her yelling at anyone could not be truer. Peace love Gwen is always on the defense. So sad but pity would is wasted on that one!! Time to move!
Like 12:45 said her being in a public office made her dirty little secrets public. Prior to that Gwenn’s unfortunate neighbors were all well aware of how she screams and yells and is vindictive, but once she got into the limelight the nastiness spread far and wide. She has attacked members of the public, elected colleagues, appointed officials, hired help, you name it, no one has been spared her wild outbursts. Not surprising that the police have a report on her. Would expect that there could be many such complaints in the PD about our little blonde demon.
So The Help, I mean the RPD, were not meeting her standards with respect to deliveries!

5:12 guess it is pretty clear. And I agree with that description. She’s little (in more ways than one), she’s blonde (at least courtesy of clairvoyant) and she sure is nasty.
The Help…….perfect description for Gwenns attitude. Bet that 150 years ago she would have been screaming obscenities at the help on her plantation.
