The Vision 2030 Strategic Plan was presented by a team including Dr. William Adams, Jaime Cangialosi-Murphy, Christine Corliss, Dr. Michelle Fenwick, Richard Matthews, and Brian Ross of HYA. The planning process began in July 2024 and has since involved:

  • 300 participants in focus groups

These data points were used to craft a plan focused on five strategic pillars, each designed by action teams of RPS stakeholders.

🆕 New Mission and Vision for Ridgewood Public Schools

As part of the strategic rollout, Dr. Adams also introduced new proposed mission and vision statements, shifting focus toward innovation and excellence rather than tradition.

✅ Proposed Vision Statement:

“RPS will create an inclusive community that empowers students to explore opportunities and shape their futures.”

📅 What’s Next: Strategic Plan Timeline

The Vision 2030 plan will unfold over three key phases:

🔹 Phase 1: Foundation (2025–2026)

  • Planning, training, pilot programs

  • Initial implementation and data collection

🔹 Phase 2: Implementation (2026–2027)

  • Full rollout across schools

  • System integration and performance evaluation

🔹 Phase 3: Refinement (2027–2028)

  • Data-driven adjustments

  • Long-term sustainability planning

  • Expansion of successful initiatives

Despite the occasionally dense presentation, many residents recognized the plan’s ambitious scope and collaborative spirit as a necessary evolution for the district.

The Ridgewood Board of Education will vote on officially adopting Vision 2030 and the new mission and vision statements at their next meeting, scheduled for April 28.
