Ridgewood students have fun with technology

Some adults may legitimately doubt if they are “smarter than a fifth grader” after listening to a group of award-winning Ridgewood students describe inventions they made in local Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) clubs.
Or in this case, a contagiously excited group of sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
The George Washington Middle School (GW) STEM Club created a solar-powered heating brick for this year’s New Jersey State First Lego League Championship Tournament. Club members described their invention in vivid detail at a recent Board of Education (BOE) meeting.
