RIDGEWOOD, NJ — The Village of Ridgewood has announced that the Ridgewood Summer Camp program will be CLOSED today, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, due to excessive rains and flooding impacting camp facilities.
Village Manager officials stated that the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to protect camper safety.
🌧️ Why Is Ridgewood Summer Camp Closed Today?
Heavy rainfall from recent storms has caused flooding in Ridgewood parks, fields, and facilities used for summer camp activities. Before reopening, the Village will:
✅ Inspect all impacted parks and fields
✅ Perform necessary maintenance and cleanup
✅ Ensure all areas meet safety standards for campers
🚌 5th/6th Grade Field Trip Rescheduled
The planned 5th/6th grade summer camp field trip for July 15 has also been cancelled and will be rescheduled for next week. Families will receive updated details once a new date is confirmed.
