Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce is presenting Restaurant Weeks 2017 – For ten days, participating restaurants are offering a chance to experience dining in Ridgewood like never before.  Each business will prepare a 3 course, prix-fixe menu for you at $30.17 + tax/tip/beverage. Below is a l ist of participating restaurants and their contact information.  Call for details. Parking in Ridgewood is free after 6pm and all day Sunday.

Pearl’s regular Sun. through Thurs. prix fixe menu costs $26.95 per person every week of the year. I knew this and called. I was told don’t worry, we’ll charge you the regular price. Went there with reservation and was given the regular and daily specials menus but had to ask for the Rest. Wk. menu, meaning that you had to know about it before you got there, because there was no indication of it to be found. (This has happened elsewhere, even in NYC, and makes my blood boil. Don’t advertise it if you don’t want to do it.) Waiter apologetically said the boss wasn’t there and he had to charge $30.17 because the C of C insisted on it. Honestly. This and a Sinatra loop. He didn’t charge for my cappuccino.
