Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police Department proudly participated in the Annual Chief for a Day program, celebrating one of the community’s own rising stars — 16-year-old Ryan Tansey, a soon-to-be 10th grader at Ridgewood High School.
Selected as Ridgewood’s “Chief for a Day”, Ryan spent a memorable day with members of the Ridgewood Police Department, showcasing his uplifting spirit, resilience, and outstanding character — qualities that reflect the very best of Ridgewood’s youth.

Ryan joined Chief Lyons, Captain Amoruso, Officer Perez, and Officer Amoruso for a full day of experiences in law enforcement, enjoying a unique behind-the-scenes look at the responsibilities of the Ridgewood Police Department.
