John Paquin on Vintage Ridgewood New Jersey
Ridgewood NJ, What happened in 1788? The US constitution was ratified, and this wonderful Sugar Maple was born. I brought an arborist to the site this morning, and we took measurements, used accepted norms, did some calculations, and turns out this tree is 229 years old! give or take a year at least. actually decades older than the house even. Might even be the oldest tree in Bergen County?
Ok, let’s cut it. It may pose hazard to someone walking by on a windy day. By the way, where is it located?
It is CRIMINAL what is going on at Schedler. I am heartsick about it.
I’m an arborist and I sincerely hope that the arborist who looked at this tree made mention that there is not nearly enough protection around this tree during construction to ensure the best chances of survival.
4:21, then talk to Hache and Sedon.
I am not an arborist but I am relieved to read on the link to the Vintage NJ Facebook Page that Gwenn Hauck loves trees. After she voted to annihilate the entire property.
She loves seniors, too. She gives them sandwiches and then complains that she paid for them. Nobody asked her to.
If it is the oldest tree in the county just maybe we should do something about this. Maybe have a ceremony. It is scary looking tree
