The American Veterinary Medical Association has announced that February is Pet Dental Month.
The pain and illness that can be caused by periodontal disease is often indicated by bad breath, decreased appetite, or chewing on one side, but it can also go unnoticed.
Our doctors are offering free dental screenings to look for any signs of disease in your pets’ teeth and gums. More than 80% of our pets show signs of gum disease by age three and periodontal disease has been linked to heart, kidney, and liver problems, with potentially fatal results.
If your pet shows signs of dental disease, your veterinarian will give you a medical care plan with recommendations and an estimate of fees. This includes a 20% discount on the dentistry AND all fees associated with the dental procedure, including pre-anesthetic bloodwork, EKGs, x-rays, anesthesia, and post-dental medication. We are able to offer this discount with the help of our vendors in support of Pet Dental Month.
An appointment can be scheduled at your convenience, and basic dental cleanings will be offered at a discounted rate when scheduled within February or March.
