North Arlington NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JORGE A. PEREZ (DOB: 9/17/1963; married; unemployed) of 65 Devon Street, Apt. 5, North Arlington, NJ on a charge of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the North Arlington Police Department under the direction of Chief Scott Hedenberg, and the United States Postal Inspection Service under the direction of Inspector-In-Charge Christopher Nielsen.
On October 6, 2023, during a narcotics investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotic Task Force and North Arlington Police Department, and United States Postal Inspectors executed a search warrant at 65 Devon Street, Apt. 5, North Arlington, NJ, the residence of JORGE A. PEREZ. Located in his residence were approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine, scales, and packaging material.
As a result of the investigation, JORGE PEREZ was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(9)(a). PEREZ was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable
doubt, and he would like to thank the North Arlington Police Department and United States Postal Inspection Service for their assistance in this investigation.
