Hasbrouck Heights NJ, on August 21, at approximately 9:45 PM, Hasbrouck Heights firefighters sprang into action after receiving reports of a multi-vehicle accident on Route 17 South. The call indicated a rollover and a vehicle that was smoking, prompting an immediate response from Chiefs 60, 61, and 62, along with Squad 1 and Engine 2.
Upon arrival, crews were confronted with a chaotic scene involving seven cars, one of which had overturned. Fortunately, all occupants had self-extricated from their vehicles before emergency services arrived and were subsequently evaluated by EMS personnel on site.
Firefighters swiftly secured the vehicles and applied speedy dry to manage the fluid spill, ensuring the safety of the area. The Wood-Ridge Fire Department is thanked for their support in covering the Borough during this incident, allowing Hasbrouck Heights firefighters to focus on the emergency response.
