Hackensack NJ, Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information on the shooting that occurred at 789 Main Street in Hackensack on Sunday evening .
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred at 789 Main Street in Hackensack on Sunday, May 29, 2022. At approximately 9:00 p.m., the Hackensack Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Deli Mart located at 789 Main Street. Responding officers found a 33-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he is being treated. The suspect fled the area.
An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer in Charge Captain Darrin DeWitt. No additional information is available at this time.
