Ridgewood NJ, Simply put, the situation involving Parkmobile constitutes a blatant case of FRAUD.
Officers of Parkmobile convinced elected officials to adopt a formal resolution that approved the signing of a contract with their company. The adopted resolution stated in plain English that the Village would not be charged in any way, shape, or form. All costs were to be paid for by users on a per transaction basis. Then, Parkmobile somehow convinced former Village Manager Roberta Sonenfeld to sign a contract granting Parkmobile a percentage of the parking revenue from every transaction involving their app.
Bait and switch, plain and simple. One bill of goods was sold to the Council, another was sold to Roberta Sonenfeld.
FRAUD I say. I maintain the contract is invalid because it is in direct conflict with what our elected officials were told, and what they approved via resolution.
I’m about to call up that attorney who is handling the case against the Board of Education (Rosemarie Aronold of Fort Lee) and ask her to file a class action suit against Parkmobile for triple damages, court costs, and attorney’s fees.
FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD!

what are the commuter parking passes levels for 2018 placards ?
dare they raise them one cent for 2018 hostage commuters …in fact they should be rolled back to original hanging pass levels after increases were forced on common user passes / outside of the train station VIP passes which went to 1000 dollars last year on Vogts initiative to extort the heavy hitters heading to Wall Street, why! ? let them eat cake…
Did you call?

a.k.a. Theft by deception.
Janice clarified at today’s council meeting that this decision to pay additional 15 cents per swipe to ParkMobile was taken by Roberta without asking the council for approval. She “decided” to do it. Just like she had decided to spend 600K on design without council’s approval on the design of the Hudson Street garage. She should be sued to recoup the money.
fix is in…how could one manager do this on own initiative…and everyone else up and down the accounting ,budgeting and towns management chain AFTER the towns vote management changeover be completely unaware..which if true shows complete lack of accounting of payouts and vendor withholding accruals. In a department that had a massive fraud theft via coin boy..who himself was not managed throughout years of theft.
I love when in the village is in chaos what a mess , the great once village of Ridgewood is in, just like thousands of years ago when the Roman empire was burning. This town is getting sued from everyone. Each time to clean house from the top it’s the only way. They just don’t know what you’re doing. Just look on a day-to-day operation it’s all guessing game. We the taxpayers see it here it breathe it Pay for it
